Age Limit (Upper) WBJEE exam does not have any upper age limit.

Upper Age Limit for Marine Engineering Courses The upper age limit for admission in Marine Engineering Courses is 25 years as on 31st December 2022.

Applicability for Entrance Exam Applicants with a valid score or rank in JEE Main are eligible for exemption from WBJEE.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2025- B.Pharma

Following are the eligibility criteria for West Bengal JEE 2025 admission in B.Pharma courses-

  • The candidates must have a 10+2 examination from a recognised board or University with Mathematics/Chemistry/ Physics/ Biology as their compulsory subjects.
  • The applicants must have obtained at least 45% in the subjects mentioned above in their 10+2 exams. Reserved category students are eligible for 5% marks relaxation for admission in B.Pharma courses, of which their qualifying marks are 40%.
  • The candidates also must have qualified in English as one of the subjects in their 10+2 examination. The qualifying marks for English are different from other relevant subjects. Applicants must obtain a minimum of 30% in English..
  • NIOS students are considered eligible to appear for the West Bengal JEE.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2025- B.Tech

  • Students are eligible to apply for the technical engineering stream of the West Bengal JEE exam who have passed their 12th class examination with Mathematics and Physics as majors. And Computer science/Computer application/biotechnology/biology/Chemistry/Technical Vocational Subjects as their third subject.
  • Students applying for WBJEE B.Tech from the general category must obtain 45% marks in their 10+2 examination.
  • There is a 5% relaxation for ST/SC/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD students appearing in WBJEE who need to obtain 40% marks in their 10+2 examination.
  • The candidates also must obtain 30% marks in English in their 12th board examination.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2025- B.Arch

  • The candidates must have qualified for their 10+2 exam from a recognised board or University.
  • The applicants must have Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry as compulsory subjects in their 10+2-degree course.
  • The candidates must have obtained at least 50% in their 10+2 board examination.
  • The candidates also must have a valid score or rank in their JEE Main (Paper 2) or NATA.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2025- Domicile Rules

Unlike other Indian states, the WBJEE exam does not impose strict domicile rules for admission in B.Tech, B.Pharma and B.Arch courses in various state institutes through this examination. However, there are some domicile rules that candidates need to follow to be able to appear in the West Bengal JEE.

  • Applicants who want admission to Jadavpur University or other State Government colleges must be permanent state residents. Aspiring candidates from other Indian states cannot take admission in Government Pharmacy or engineering colleges situated in West Bengal.
  • Reservation policies and quotas are only applicable for West Bengal domicile students, and students from other states cannot benefit from reservation policy.
  • However, candidates who are not born in West Bengal but are permanently staying in the state (for 10 years or more) are eligible to get the reservation policy and quota benefits.

Eligibility Criteria for WBJEE 2025- Institute-wise

  • Candidates must qualify for their 10+2 examination from a recognized board or university.

  • 30% in the English language.

For others

  • Candidates must obtain 60% (general category) /55% (reserved category) in their 12th board exams.
  • They must have Physics and Mathematics as majors and Chemistry as a compulsory subject.
  • 30% marks in English.

Jadavpur University

  • Candidates must qualify for 10+2 board exams with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
  • They must obtain 60% (general) /45% (reserved) in their 12th board exams, with 30% in English.

Neotia University

  • Students must pass the 12th board exams with 60% marks.
  • They must have Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry/ Computer Science as compulsory subjects.
